Sunday, June 2, 2024

• Welcome reception: to be held at the National Maritime Museum nearby the conference venue. The welcome reception will be from 16.00 - 18.00 (4:00-6:00pm) and will be catered with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. 

Monday, June 3, 2024

• Technical sessions: We are planning for 1 plenary session, followed parallel tracks of presentations.
• Evening entertainment: We are arranging a boat tour through the Amsterdam canals from 18.00 - 19.00 (6:00 - 7:00pm) catered with drinks and hor d'oevres.
• Please arrive 10-15 minutes early, around 17.45 (5:45pm). The boats will depart from the location circled on the map below near the Maritime Museum. The canal boat tour will end and the drop off point will be downtown Amsterdam (Prins Hendrikkade 25).

Tuesday, June 4, 2024 

• Technical sessions: We are planning for 1 plenary session, followed by parallel tracks of presentations. 
• There is no conference organized evening entertainment planned for Tuesday.

Wednesday, June 5, 2024 

• Technical sessions: We are planning for 1 plenary session, followed by parallel tracks of presentations. 
• Conference banquet: National Maritime Museum
  • 18.00 - 19.30 (6:00 -7:30pm): Reception (catered with drinks and light hor d'oevres) and maritime museum tour. This is a self-guided tour of the museum, and we are planning to have museum guides stationed at various locations both inside and outside at the "VOC Amsterdam ship" to provide insight into the exhibitions.
  • 19.30 - 22.00 (7:30 - 10:00pm): Conference banquet in Open Courtyard

Thursday, June 6, 2024

• Technical sessions: We are planning for 1 plenary session, followed by parallel tracks of presentations. 
• Shipyard tour(s): We are working on organizing 3 parallel shipyard tours. Attendees will be able to choose 1 tour to attend. Busses will leave and return to the conference venue at the time listed below for each location. The plan is to spend about 2 hours at the shipyard. Due to capacity limitations of each individual shipyard, we ask for attendees to sign-up in advance.
  1.  Damen Shiprepair and Conversion (ship repair yard). 14.00 - 17.00 (2:00 - 5:00pm). More information about shipyard here. This tour is limited to 50 people.
  2.  Huisfit by Royal Huisman (mega sailing yacht refit yard). 14.00 - 17.00 (2:00 - 5:00pm). More information about shipyard here.  This tour is limited to 50 people.
  3.   Feadship, Koninklijke De Vries Scheepbouw, B.V. (mega yacht new build yard). 14.45 - 18.15 (2:45 - 6:15pm). More information about shipyard here.  This tour is limited to 25 people.
